Easter Weekend

This was Easter Weekend! A weekend of fun, friends & family!! We started out with an Easter Egg Hunt in the neighborhood on Saturday...which Zach didn't get too many eggs, but did have a lot of fun and DID get his first horsey ride and LOVED it!!

He kept asking for more and more! Everytime we talk about it, he asks me if he can do it again. He knows what he likes! ...and he didn't like going to bed last night, so Mama had a long night baking cupcakes, filling Easter Eggs and hiding everything before the morning came!

He didn't remember (or did he even really know) that the Easter Bunny was coming last night, so when I got up this morning to get his bottle, I got the camera ready and yelled to him that the Easter Bunny had come! He shouts from my bedroom, "Easter Bunny, come?"...and RUNS to the living room and sees his basket...he loved dumping it out and checking out the loot and then gathering all of the eggs. My favorite part was at the end of the egg hunt and he saw his "cooter/kateboard" (he goes back and forth as to what he wants to call it). He was THRILLED! Then he told me that it was his because the Easter Bunny shared with him. For some reason, knowing the Easter Bunny was going to share brought out some great behavior in this little man...and if he strayed today all I had to say was, "the Easter Bunny is sharing with you and if you aren't nice, he will come and take it back~!"...is that mean?

We followed the egg hunt by a fantastic BBQ with our friends (too many to list) and Zach swam for 4 HOURS straight...with a small break for food. He is a FISH and loves going from the "hot pool" to the "cold pool"...it was a perfect sunny day here with a little excitement of a 7.2 earthquake at 3:40 pm. It was so odd to see the ground moving and hear it all shaking...water splashed out of the pool, but it didn't phase him!

We drove over to Mimi & Papa's for a little Easter kiss and visited with cousin Stephanie and got home. This little man is WIPED out, but what a perfect day for the both of us. I love you with all of my heart and loved watching your face all day long. You make me so happy...
