Favorites!!!

Zach already has a few favorites...sometimes they change daily...but today it was definitely Oreos, Tegan & Chipotle! After lunch, Zach got his ladder and went to the pantry to find a little something more! I heard some crinkling and a head poked around with an Oreo...and then hid again! Once Mama said, YUMMY...may I please have one...he turned around on his chair and we enjoyed some Oreos together!
Tegan's older sister, Kelsey, babysits Zach and she is also a favorite...but today we went to visit the girls and TT...Tegan gave Zach LOTS of rides on her new toy! He was in LOVE with it...(and her!). It was so cute to see them peddling around and spinning...the look on his face was priceless and he was even "willing to share her toy" with the others! LOL...Thank you Tegan!!! We love you!

After Tegan...I asked Zach what he wanted for dinner...and another favorite came to mind...CHIPOTLE!!! He said it was Dada's favorite too...so we headed over for some beans, rice & "molemolemole"...he chowed down in "Dada Fashion" and danced to a few good songs...and talked about Dada while we ate. WE MISS YOU SO MUCH!!!!

And one more favorite...today is Thursday, which means we have made it through another week of pregnancy! Mama has 15 weeks to go!

$.31 Ice Cream Scoops!

Z with his favorite blankie...snoozin'!

Yes...we still bring this EVERYWHERE!!!
We've had a few pretty mellow days...Z got some sort of icky virus coupled with allergies and we've pretty much hung out on the couch, watched lots of "moodies" and stuck around the house...however...Wednesday, Zach woke up to feeling like his old self and wanted to "go bye-bye"...We did our usual Wednesday outing...Henry's & $1.50 Pizza Slices...and then met Mimi & Papa at Baskin Robbins for some $.31 scoops! We had so much fun...there were ambulences, fire trucks, some live music, balloon animals (and swords!), and firemen!
His new doggie friend..."kissing.head" (Zach's sentence)

We may have watched one too many dragon movies! = )

Zach fought swords with some boys AND Papa...danced to some Elvis (with Papa, again)...met a new dog, some new friends and showed off for the firemen/paramedics! ...and it was so cute...when we were leaving, Zach had two swords in the car. Zach told me that we needed to give Papa his sword...so we had to follow Papa to his car and give him "his" sword!! If it hadn't been for the "hurricane force winds" (the meterologists term for our winds yesterday) - it could have been THE perfect night! All in all, we were together with family and friends, so what more could you ask for? We're just glad we are feeling better!
Sword fighting with Papa

Another boy Zach found to fight with!

Checking out the musician...wondering why it doesn't sound like that when he & Dada sing and play their guitars!!~!!

Yeah for Sunday!

...let's just say, by 8:30 am, we had already been to Starbucks, the Park and back home...!!! Z woke up in bed with me again...with his helmet & ax...again! We took it to Starbucks, the park, movie time on the couch, nap time and it is now sleeping next to him! I think we are part of the reason that movie is still Number 1 at the box office!
Watching the "dragon" trailers on the 'puter...note the helmet at his side!

Mimi came over today so Mama could have some girl time...got to see my friend Shayla's little belly, share in her shower and then meet up with my 3 besties for some Tommy Bahama's Happy Hour...I was too winded from walking up the stairs that I forgot to take a picture of all of us...Happy Pregnancy...!!! Was slightly irritated that I was charged $6 for a non-alchoholic mojito...hello...that's just soda, lime & mint...But it was good to catch up with the girls!!!!!

Viking Zach!

Zachary learned what Water Balloons were today...and you can tell by the look in his face...he is quite pleased with himself!

I woke up this morning to a little Zachary in bed with me...and a shield, a helmet & a hatchet! In the middle of the night he came to my room and brought with him his new outfit! It was SO sweet! He's been a viking all day long...from breakfast, to the gym, to the park, to riding the scooter, to the birthday party across the street to taking a bath and heading to bed...He LOVES his new Hiccup Outfit!!! I adore you, my baby boy!!!

He also enjoyed the birthday party for the nine year old across the street! (he doesn't realize he's only 2!)...he learned what water balloons were, how to scare a 6 year old girl (by chasing her around with his Viking Helmet on, yelling and banging his hatchet on everything), how to get in the 3-legged race (by jumping on the downed runners), how to drink water (from a squirt gun) and loves to sing "Happy Birthday"! Fun day for little Z!

A new movie!

We decided to go see "Oceans" with Mimi today. Zach is in love with the ocean and sharks! Just 3 months ago, everything in the ocean was a shark! We've been reading a lot of ocean and shark books, so while Mimi & Mama thought his naming every creature in the movie was ADORABLE...I can think of a few who didn't! The start of the movie was fantastic and exciting...Zach named:

Tiger Shark
Dolphin
Manta Ray
Moray Eel
"Nemo"
Told us the "Fish eat dirt"
Whale Shark
Gray Whale
Humpback Whale
"Crabby Patty" (thanks to Sponge Bob!)
Boats
Turtles
Seals

I guess all of that reading does pay off! Towards the end, the movie just couldn't hold him like "How to Train your Dragon"...so we skipped out of Oceans and sped over to see the last 10 minutes of that. He was thrilled...who knew you could really watch a movie 5 times in the theatre and still think it's fantastic???

After movietime, we went to Walmart and Zach got a "Hiccup" (aka Hic-hic...spoken very quickly!) outfit and wore it until he went to bed!...(even when he went for a drive in Mimi's "race car" in the "big boy seat")...Thanks for a fun day Mimi!!!

Aall-Burt!

Today was an exciting day for Zachary...he got to meet his old doggy, Albert! Along the way, he talked to Gram in Alaska, smelled some flowers, went to the chiropractor with Mama & made his way over to Mimi's to play with Albert and have fun!

ALBERT...
...And the way he says his name is just too cute! He's finally using more than one syllable for a word, so he was able to pronounce Al-Burt...in two syllables! Quite cute. Albert wasn't too sure of Zach at first...he never really was fond of children (althoug he did love baby Zach back in the day). Lucky for Albert & Zach, Zach had plenty of snacks to "drop" around the house and Albert quickly came over to "Team Zach"!!! The way they played was just so cute and it makes me really sad that Zach is allergic to doggies and can't have one of his own...I mean, even if we still had Albert, he would have to go somewhere else this winter, as we can't take him to Cambodia with us...but he sure was loving that Albert doggy! They chased each other and were little buddies! It was fun to have him with a spunky doggy who could keep up with him and one that I trusted...(we miss Annie & Katy...they loved Zach too).

PHONE CALL TO ALASKA...
...Gram called this morning and wanted to "chat" with Z...so he got the phone and walked around the house in his diaper, carrying his marker and bottle and talking to Gram. It was also very sweet...he was telling Gram about his Dada and he went and picked up a picture of him and brought it to the phone to "show" Gram that he missed his Dada. He was telling Gram that Dada was at work and he wanted him to come home. Very sweet...very touching...very sad for a Mama...

SMELLING THE FLOWERS...
...Our friend George came over to put the dishwasher in this morning and when he left for a Home Depot run, Mama didn't lock the front door and within minutes of George leaving, I heard it open and went outside and Zach was very sweetly telling me he just wanted to smell the flowers...and proceeded to smell every flower in the pot (they don't even have a scent!) to prove his point! He knows he's not supposed to be going out the front...but he also already knows diversion!

CHIROPRACTOR DEFENDER...
...I needed to see the chiropractor today...OI! My back was killing me...he always said I could bring Zach in (but he'd never met him)...LOL. Well, Zach was a little Angel...sucking on the different lollipops they offered him and when we went into the adjustment, he was walking around the room and calling the spine model a "tray" (dragon)! LOL...but when the Doc came to adjust me, little Zach put his hand on my arm and stood by my the entire time...did not want to move and kept rubbing my arm, like he was protecting me...Papa was wondering if I was imagining it, but I wasn't...even the Dr. commented on how adorable he was "protecting" me! ...and I get TWO MORE boys to love and love me back! God knows me!!

CALL IT A DAY...

...so after a nice dinner of steak and potatoes and running around with Albert, Z got a nice hot bubble bath in Mimi's HUGE tub and Papa started the fire in the fire pit and we relaxed and headed home!

Zach kept wanting to "blow the fire out"!

Library day!

(Slightly irritated with blogger.com tonight...won't let me move my pictures around...my back hurts and I'm tired, so here it is...not gonna fight the damn thing tonight!)

Today was Zach's first day at the Library Reading in La Quinta...fortunately they made it very clear at the beginning that this was a class where the kids could run around, talk during the story and get their own books...because Zach did all of those! The only time he was completely attentive was during the song they each got to hold a maraca and shake it. At that point, he didn't want my lap, another book or anything except a chair and his maraca! He was VERY disappointed to give it back...in fact, he was the only one who cried big old alligator tears when we had to (out of about 30 kids)! He knows what he likes! He learned a few new songs which he was singing throughout the day. I think we'll go back next week...and Mimi said she would come along to help me chase him!

After library time, we stopped by Mimi's for lunch...he "drove" her race car, honked the horn and bossed she & I around on the piano...he would tell her to get up, me to sit, where to sit and when my turn was up!

Our new dishwasher came today and Z was thrilled with the new box for a "house"...he climbed in and on it, had snacks in it, watched the TV and just enjoyed the "free" box (all for the price of a new dishwasher)!!!

Finished the day off with a visit to TT & Cam's house...they played, had snacks and Uncle John was home working on his motorcycles! Unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me, but Uncle John put him on his big dirt bikes, showed him how to make it go (don't worry Mimi, they weren't on AND they were on big blocks) by turning the handle and Cam even got on behind him! Needless to say, another meltdown when it was time to go home!
