Catch up time!

It's been a weird week...Zach has been off of his schedule, I've been extra tired...so adding photos, posting on the blog and keeping up with these things has gotten a little behind! Tonight, we got ready for bed early with the promise of watching his new movie, The Lion King...and he was out before the opening credits...6:58...Mama has gotten A LOT done in the meantime...all caught up on Z's Baby Book...cropped and downloaded new pictures of the babies...posting etc.!
So...earlier in the week, we headed over to the La Quinta Park for some fun in the sun and I forgot that there was a fun water fountain that is running this time of the year...or maybe I just subconsciously remembered he didn't really like it last year...not the same story this year! Good thing I still carry a diaper bag and an extra change of clothes everywhere we go! Thought about doing no diaper and just shorts...then I remembered the "Turd Incident" at the Irvine Spectrum when Zach just stood there and pooped it out his pants and then took off running and was all embarrassed!...so I borrowed a medium from another mom...and my boy looked like a Sumo Wrestler out there...but he didn't care! Pizza time, then a nap and THEN off to the pool with TT Jessica! We snuck into the Hyatt, ordered some pool side food and caught up and swam with Z for 3 hours...he was TIRED that night!

Then...it was Thursday...a day of Dr. Appointments and off I went to view my little one's, check out my blood pressure and all that stuff...We are ALL growing! The boys are now about 2 1/2 pounds each...I've gained 40 pounds and Zach has grown 3 inches since his 2nd birthday!

Today we did some gardening, hit the park for water play again and then off to see Shrek...which I adore how my baby boy just sobs when the movie is over...and then when I finally calm him, he asks me "Back again?"...of course we will be back again my sweet boy...we watch that damned dragon movie SIX times in the theatre. We miss Jim, are thankful for our friends and family who are there for us and looking forward to see the Snyders in San Clemente next week! WOOT WOOT!!! Cooler weather, best of friends and our bebe's...what more could we ask for! Love you all...

Cooler days!

We've had a little respite in the hot weather...only 85 today and it was heaven! In the meantime, Zach has been showing me he knows when he is going to pee and even told me 3 times on Sunday AND made it to the potty...and Zach knows what happens when he potty's on the toilet...a potty fairy comes! Actually, he knows he gets a new car and in this case, his new set of tools! He LOVES them and they go everywhere with us...I hear them in the middle of the night when he is making the trek into bed with me...the pitter patter of his feet and the shuffle of a tool box coming with him...He's adorable!
We have a new favorite...I love the song, "It's a Great Day to be Alive"...and I'll play it on the iPod dock and he runs from any room in the house and jumps into my arms and I have to dance the entire song with him with his head on my shoulder...he'll stop and look at me and give me a kiss and then put his head on my shoulder...He HAS my heart...the song just makes me realize there are so many things to be thankful for and everyday we are alive is a great day...then to have my little man cuddling up on me and wanting to dance with me...well, it really doesn't get any better than that. I love you so much my baby boy...I can't even explain it...the joy I get from seeing all your teeth when you laugh...the way you make me chase you...how when you do something naughty and I say, "who did this?" and you answer "Zach did!"...you are the light and joy of my life...you make everyday a great day to be alive...I will love you forever.

I miss you...

Last weekend we said good bye to Uncle Bob...for some reason, I took it very hard...I couldn't stop crying when we got in the car and Zach asked me what was wrong, I just told him I was sad and missed Dada. So we talked about Dada and he kept telling me, "Mama miss Dada...Mama sad."...so I just kept crying. ...and I do...I miss him so much, his hugs every morning, hitting the snooze button 5 times, smelly farts, forgetting his coffee and lunch on the way out the door, calling to ask me what's for dinner...TOMORROW!, his laugh, watching Zach and him play, cuddling up next to him at night, grabbing his hand for a date night, catching the latest Romantic Comedy, beers at any bar, wine at home on Friday nights, telling me "...is to die for"...drinking my last water bottle, leaving toothpaste on his face, his heart, his eyes...arguing with me over a point he will realize I am right about, snoring in bed, watching him pull weeds, complaining over the "principle" of it...I miss every-single-thing about you...you are my best friend and I adore you...I hope we are all together again soon...we miss you and need you...our family isn't complete without you with us...

Loving Uncle Bob!

Zach is having a BLAST with his Uncle Bob...he asks him to play swords with him, play golf...he gets more attention from me because I am not doing everything alone! Today we had another pool day and the two of them had me in stitches!! The way a 2 year olds brain works is priceless! I love you both...

Uncle Bob also found a LadyBug...which Zach LOVES finding while in the pool...He loves how they walk on his hands and saving them and putting them in a "new home" in the flowers!

"Smelling" the ladybug...told me smells fine, like a ladybug!

Yesterday we spend an afternoon at the movie theatres and *GASP...did not see How to Train Your Dragon! We were too late, so Iron Man it was...Zach LOVED it AND sat thru the entire 2 hour movie! Free movie time this summer is going to be FAB!

Just another day!

Uncle Bob found out what our days consist of around here...some cartoons, breakfast, a few errands, a long nap and pool time! After his hard week of finals, I think he's OK with that...minus the few chores he happily completed for me! Zach is just LOVING having his Uncle here...he really misses his Dada and his enjoying all things male...poo'ing, pee'ing the toilet, sword fights, farts, someone to jump on, golfing, chasing, "sssssssssssss games", shoulders, shaving...thanks for being here! We miss Dada, but it's nice to have Uncle Bob here, even if just for a bit.

Mother's Day

I had a great Mother's Day, I got to be with my baby who makes me a Mama...I LOVE LOVE LOVE him...I was sad that the Dada who made me a Mama wasn't here, but I got some nice emails from him and he told me to pamper myself!!! We took Mimi to her FIRST Mother's Day Brunch...had a delicious yummy meal at one of our fav's, Aqua Pazzo's! Zach fell asleep on the way home and was moved to Uncle Bob's room, and Mama took off for her favorite nail salon and got a mani & a pedi (I never do both!). We finished the day off with twice baked potatoes & filets...Thanks for making my day special!

Getting ready for Uncle Bob...

We spent Saturday morning talking about Unca Bob...his school...his room...his firetruck...Zach LOVES his Unca Bob! Mommy vacuumed, helped bake some brownies with frosting so Zach could enjoy singing Happy Birthday to his cousin and washed out some trash cans while cleaning up...So here are we are getting ready for Unca Bob!

Cousin's Birthday

May 9th was cousin Stephie's Birthday (but we celebrated on the 8th!)...Uncle Bob got into town that day, so we packed up after a long nap and went to celebrate with Stephie...The kids had a blast...Zach loved entertaining Stephie (and himself) by dancing and hitting Uncle Bob & Uncle Mike with the balloons...Stephie couldn't stop laughing and Zach couldn't stop hitting! They played the piano together (and Zach wanted to play with his "toes" like "Tom & Jerry") and little Stephie cried when it was time for her cousin to leave. These two need to play more often...they had so much fun together! Happy Birthday pretty little cousin! We love you!

Thursday...24 Weeks...14 to go!!!

I LOVE Thursdays...it is the day I turn a "new week" and every other Thursday, I get to see my Babies!!! Leandra is now my FAVORITE u/s tech of ALL time! I see her and she gets extra pictures, tells me information AND even does a 3-D! Thank you thank you thank you!!!! Today I learned that the babies touch each other...I mean, I thought they did, but in one of the pictures, you can see that A is wrapping his arms around B's head...it brought tears to my eyes...I can't believe that I get two new babies to hold this summer...I can't believe it. Thank you God!!!

Baby B's Profile

Baby B likes his hand!

Baby A has his arms wrapped around B's head!

And let's not forget my big baby!!! His latest is he likes to get out of the tub during his bath and tell me he has to pee and then he tells me to sit on the toilet and pee...He's my sweetie!

Mom...mmmm...Chicken!!!!

In keeping up with the garage sale and cleaning things out, we got in the mood today and decided to pick the damned weeds again...(note to self: Get on that gardener to get those weeds!)...Sooo...we got out there early this morning after a little house tidying. Zach was running around naked, so I p...ut big boy underwear on him, and outside we went! It was nice enough out to leave all of the doors open for some cool fresh air in the house...and easy access for my "little helper"!

We started off by having "coffee" together! I eat a waffle with peanut butter & strawberries...he eats oatmeal with berries...when I got my "mocha" with whipped cream, he decided he wanted his own today...so I had some cocoa and we got to enjoy our coffee together (something mama & dada LOVE to do!!!). I don't know how many times I had to put more whipped cream on his coffee, but he was good company chatting with me over my morning coffee!

Outside we went...and mama was getting hot. She asked her little helper to please get me a bottle of water...he gladly took off into the house...yet a few minutes later, Mama was still thirsty! Decided to check on him, came into the house with the ENTIRE rotisserrie turkey breast sitting on the ottoman and Zach says, "Mama....MMMMMM...Chicken!" The fridge was open and he was picking meat off the bone and eating away! Couldn't help but smile at him!

Picking the "chicken" off the bone...fridge open and all!!!
