Our good friends from the states decided to spend Christmas and New Years with us…and we couldn’t be more honored!!! We loved EVERYTHING about having them here…they were worried 2 weeks would be too long…we were worried it wouldn’t be enough! Let me tell you…the days flew by…I think the only thing we didn’t get to do was get Teegan on a moto…
We did the boat cruise on the day they arrived…talk about TROOPERS!!! They had just travelled 18+ hours, stayed up and went out on the boat with us!!!
Little Z was a trooper too…he was SO excited to have “Kels and Teeg” here…they are his “best friends” (he asked me before they came if he could call them that!)…he plugged away everywhere we went…and this is what happened!
We played a lot of basketball and soccer; rode around on things in the yard and threw quite a few balls!
Rode tuk tuks and shopped in the markets!!!
We were only able to get “Bubble Tea” one time…Kelsey couldn’t get enough…fortunately, she liked the coffee here too…because we got PLENTY of that!!!
Trevor liked the bubble milk tea too!
We visited wats and freed some birds!
We did the fish pedicure…drinking coffees, beers and chillin’ for an hour!
We followed the fish pedicure with a one hour foot massage…this was his therapists “first time with baby”…he played the iTouch and enjoyed his hour!
Spent a night at Ha Tien Vegas before we headed over to Vietnam the next morning…
…had more coffee…
Got sea sick on our boat ride…
Enjoyed some sand, waves and sunsets…
…another birthday party…
Ate at our favorite restaurant…twice…checked out the art…
Rode a moto to another favorite restaurant…(sidesaddle)
Had more exhausting days…
…was picked up at school by “Uncle Tone” in his Ironman “costumer”
Hit the Raffles for Happy Hour and holiday cheer…
…where Jim wore shorts with a hole (said hole is now fixed)
Had drinks at le Moon…
practiced our squatting skills…it really is a skill…to squat flat footed and sit like that for any period of time is amazing…it’s just not comfortable, but people can sleep like that here…
…and said good bye…
We had lots of nights out, good wines, yummy foods, MANY laughs, lots of shopping, moto rides, exploring and just sharing time with good friends!!! WOW…see what we mean? We did ALL that in 2 weeks…1 week would have not been enough! We LOVED LOVED having you here and are excited for our next adventure with you…Christmas 2012???
