It was supposed to 13.1, which truthfully, freaked me the heck out…I have only ever run 13.1 miles 2 times in my life and both of those times was for a race…that I hadn’t really trained for…and I REMEMBERED how tough it was!!! But, I am a runner now, and I figured I could do this, although the trail aspect of up and down sort of freaked me out (and it should have)…I can run up and down a FEW hills…but this was like 100 ups and downs!!! (Supposed to be girls only, so this guy donned a running skirt!!!)…getting up at the crack of dawn to freeze my butt off and then run…what is wrong with me???
On top of that, we were misguided on the first marker and ended up running about 5.25 miles and were told we needed to re-start…BLAH! 
…and it was 5.25 miles UP here…
So we all got stopped and had to wait for everyone to catch up…and then were told we needed to restart and 3 to 4 miles would be taken off the end…not too happy about that, but I had some good music going and put my mind to it…I could finish this thing – according to MY calculations, taking 4 miles off would put me at coming in around 14.5 miles…I put my head down and run up and down, up and down, up and down…hearing the little Nike voice telling me 11 miles, 12 miles, 
(This is the hill I had to run down around Mile 12…BRUTAL…I thought I was gonna fall…at the bottom, I found out we had about 4 more miles to go…wah wah wahhhhhh)
13.1 miles (I was at 1 hour 50 minutes at that point)…14 miles…15 miles…WTF? Am I almost done here? There were no markers, truly had no idea how much farther I had to go…then I tripped on a stupid rock and cut my hands and knees up, but bounced right back up to finish what I didn’t know was my very last mile! WAHOO!!!
That was one tough run…I think I came in 27th place and finished in about 2 hours and 15 minutes…
This pretty much sums up how we all felt at the end…
Next time I agree to do this, somebody kick me in the knees and punch me in the face…
