Welcome to Cambodia…Grammy, Grampy & Uncle Chris (aka Zachary’s tall brother)

It’s been wonderful…we have had a house full of visitors since August!!!  Prior to that, our last guest was a loved baby brother of mine and his lovely girl…so we’ve been VERY happy to host and show our new life to our family!  A year ago right now, I was tearfully thinking of how much I was going to miss my parents after they headed back to Alaska from the trip to move here…this time around…we got to do it ALL and some!!

Zachary was counting down sleeps like it was nobody’s business…he gets it too…he understands when I say there are 3 more weeks…he will say, “So, after this week, there are 2 weeks and after that week, there is one week and after that week, there is no more weeks and they will be here?”…CORRECT-O smart little man!

They came bearing gifts of toys, food, snacks, bras, and everything in between…but truthfully, we were just thrilled to have them here…it was so nice to wake up in the morning with my dad saying, “Morning T.  How’s my sweetie today?” (I get teared up just writing this now)…my boys and I are early risers…I guess we get that from them…because it was me, the twins and my parents, enjoying poopy diapers (or pooping in their room on the floor), Starbucks coffee, little laughs, books and good mornings every day for almost 2 weeks…I sure miss that!

So without further adieu, here is what we got to do…pedicures, massages, trips to the pretzel store, fish pedicure, ride an elephant, eat a lot of Thai food, go out and get a glass of wine, hit up the casino, enjoy good dinners, go to the beach, eat fresh seafood, show them our new house, celebrate my birthday, buy lots of stuff for the kids, learn some new SE Asian dishes to make at home, go to the Killing Fields, have some suits made, shop the markets, buy lots of souvenirs, eat lots of delivery food (it’s the best here…EVERY thing is delivered…for free), swim at the Sofitel, visit Angkor Wat, head the Palace…we did a LOT this time…and we all loved it!  Here are some pics:

…and did I mention quite a few tuk tuk rides with just a few meltdowns, coffee shops, lunches, laughing a lot, Grammy & Z baking a birthday cake (without egg) for Mommy, and just enjoying family???  Yep, we did all that too!
