Water Festival is a big deal here in Cambodia…and Grammy & Grampy were lucky enough to be here to enjoy Zach’s little celebration at school…they saw him run a water relay, pop water balloons and make big bubbles…and he was the best at all of them AND won the race for his team! GO LITTLE Z!!!!

“Bankers Dinner”
The invite was official and it said a few different things about what it actually was, but one thing was perfectly clear…dress code: formal. I.don’t.have.formal.clothes…lucky for me, I lost all that baby weight and was able to squeeze into a girlfriend’s dress for the party…and she threw in a few pair of shoes to try out too!!! All over the world, I have the best friends a girl could ask for!
I can always meter how good I look by how much Zachary has a fit…the more make up and prettier dress I have one, the bigger fit he has…in fact, Leak has said that’s my cue that I look REALLY beautiful…the more Zachary tells me to take off my make up and that I look ugly (I know…why do I find this funny that my 3 year old tells me I look ugly…I need to be working on that), Leak says it’s “the more beautiful I look”…at least someone can pay compliments in the house!
It was fun to dress up and spend some adult time with my hubby…but I think he and I both agree…t-shirts, shorts and flip flops with a beer and some rock music playing is a little more our style…(even if those shoes FELT like they were flip flops!)
Field Trip…
The school planned a field trip…and while it was not planned very well at all (i.e., there weren’t enough seats on the bus, so the youngest kids…aka, Zach’s class…had to wait for another bus to arrive, they didn’t know where they were going, so we drove for a very long time, we went down a crazy narrow, bumpy dirt road and had to turn the bus around and then they parked in the middle of the “road” and told us we needed to walk down this other dirt road…like a mile…with 75 pre-schoolers…and that was just the start…but of the one million reasons I love that I am a stay at home mom…I get to go on these trips and enjoy my little man)
alas, we survived and the kids had fun and they were BEAT at the end of it! That’s a successful day!
One of his friends had just come back from Japan and was upset, so my sweet boy went over to color with her and help cheer her up!
Waiting in line with Chunan!
The Owls I class!
Pretty excited to be heading out…looking for carrots (that we never found…it was a trip to an organic farm…they only grew lettuce, tomatoes & rocket)
Getting tired!
More tired…upset that his rocket didn’t have a flower on it!
Tired mommy & Zachary heading home…(he fell asleep shortly thereafter!)
Armands…again!
Dad & Mom told me to pick a place for my birthday dinner…can’t go wrong with Armands! Our normal 10 minute drive did take 50 minutes, but he was accommodating and the food was parfait!…as was having my family and friends with me! Happy Birthday to me…again!
Us girls telling mom…”No no no…that angle is going to make us look fat!”…stupid girls…who cares, right?!
Santa Jim…
Ho ho ho…we have a smart boy in the house…there is a zombie app on the iTouch and photos were taken to make us all a zombie on Thanksgiving…3 days later, I was downloading my photos and…
I have no idea how Zach did this, but he made my day!!
Stinky little boy!
Best Buddies
I LOVE these little guys…they keep me on my toes, but they are the sweetest, most loving, best eating, great sleeping, best dancing, cutest little boys I have ever grown in my belly at the same time! Seriously, they ask to go to bed, the come up and give you loves without being asked, they love broccoli over cotton candy, they play together (sort of like a married couple, love/hate thing…but that’s love, right?)…they light up your day…and if you don’t know Trevor & Brandon Kochel, you are missing out!
He learned how to “Shhhhhh” when we took him to the palace…and he thought it was the funniest thing in the world…he gets that little finger up to his face and goes to town!
…and these boys LOVE to dip…any dip…if I am eating chili salt and don’t share, well watch out tantrum!
