Nope…this is NOT an unusual afternoon here…you see puddles like this all of the time…and I LOVE it! I love these afternoon thunderstorms…I’ll be bummed when the rainy season ends…
Everyone just takes their shoes off and plunges in…except for me…I’m afraid some rat or other unmentionable would brush my ankles (or knees) and I might pee my pants…I’m not THAT local…yet!
Just for a point of reference…this isn’t a puddle…it’s the road…and not just a portion of the road, but a good 6 or 7 blocks…it’s like this all over town during a good rain in the afternoon…a few hours later, you’d never know!
