SWIM LESSONS!!!!!

I need to start remembering to add these in their reverse order...the blog won't let me drag the pictures anymore, and I'm too tired to sit on my butt and not be able to breathe to really care and fix it...so anyway...these pictures are from Zach and his buddy Asa's first swim lessons with Mr. Devin!...and they are in reverse order...start from the bottom up!

The boys had a blast together...Asa is a "better listener" according to Mr. Devin...yes, tis true! Asa is a little bit older...and truth be told, Zach has a little bit of that Kochel thing going on...he is really his mama & dada's son!

...swimming back to the stairs

...jumping in "by myself"

...Asa's turn!

... ai...yai...yai...this mama is going to have many heart attacks with this boy around!

...wasn't following instructions and had to start over and wait to count to 3!

...big splashes!

...baby splashes (in the "hot" pool!)

...the boys not too sure of this Mr. Devin guy...they both looked at us and were like, "Do we really have to listen to him?"!

A Fun Sunday!

We had a pretty relaxing day...sort of having as many of those as we can these days! Mama can barely stand the heat...even in the pool! As soon as you are out, you are already sweating!
After swimming, we hit KFC for a chicken leg...he loves those now, then DQ for a hot fudge Sunday...all with his buddy Cam(eron) and TT Nessie!

mama's little "helper"...

he searched until he found what he was looking for...Choc(olate)...he hearts dark chocolate...so do I!

My clever boy!!!

His brain never ceases to amaze me! He's really a sweet, loving, very cuddable boy!!!...but sometimes...his little naughty side comes out...but I love that too!

He likes to be a rough and tough boy...driving cars on the wall (which Dada doesn't like)...hit knives and spoons on the white kitchen tile (another thing Dada doesn't like)...well...you get the picture...Dada doesn't like a chip of paint gone, a black mark on the wall, etc. etc...so we are very careful to keep our house "perfect"! In the meantime, everytime he does one of these things, I can still remind him that he needs to stop because, "Dada will get mad!"...well, Zach hates Car Washes (aka, car chos)...after our 50 drops of rain last weekend, our car needed a cho...when I told Zach we were going to get a cho, he said, "NO! Zach no likes Car Chos!"...and about 5 minutes later, he told me, "Dada no wants a car cho...it makes Dada mad!"...and he told me that about 5 more times! He cracks me up!
He's also very much in love with his Uncle Bob! HE HEARTS him...talks about him and our guest room is officially Uncle Bob's room...well, he likes to go in there and watch the gardener...on Monday, he told me, "Mama, get out Uncle Bob's Room!" (see picture below)..."You leave now!" I know him and this means he's probably going to be doing something he shouldn't be doing - like chewing the the wall and eating the drywall - yes, he does this...there are about 20 bite marks on the windowsill! I did leave and came back 5 minutes late to find the door shut...he wasn't eating the wall, but he told me to leave him alone again! All boys need their privacy, I suppose!

Fun week!

We decided to cool down last weekend with some friends...we got out our dragon pool and the kids had a great time! Zach and his petite girlfriend, Isabella, wrestled and laughed and played while her older sister was fine doing her own thing! Isabella is about 15 pounds lighter than Zach and quite a bit shorter, but she can hold her own! Sometimes her mom and I laugh that she has Zach pinned up against the wall and they look like a couple of teenagers!

Zach LOVES to help me bake...I've found out that Target is going to quit carrying our special mixes, so we stocked up on them...now Zach asks almost everyday to bake some cookies or cupcakes...he just like the batter and the frosting!

We also got some much needed help this week! Mama found out that the boys are 5#8oz and 5#10 oz and both are head down...I feel like I've already given birth! I cannot chase Zach around at all anymore, so one of our favorite sitters, Vanessa, has taken on my helper position and comes 3 days a week so we can do stuff...she chases Zach around and I still get to be with my baby! She gives him his bath at night while I get his lunch ready for school and it's SO much help!!! Whenever she gets here, Zach says he wants to go to the mall (a kid after my own heart) and we head out and he gets to ride his favorite new ride...Bob the Builder!
Here's the Mama with 3 weeks 4 days to go (but who is counting???)

I LOVE YOU!!

Where did my baby go? Today when I dropped him off at school, there were no tears, only smiles...he told me I had to go home and then go to the Dr. and for the first time today, he said, "I love you, Mama!"...without me saying it first...how can your heart keep getting bigger and bigger? I love my little man and his sweet smile and his naughty little face...everything about you makes me smile, even when you are naughty!!!

Happy 4th of July!

Zach & I felt the love this 4th of July! We were invited to quite a few BBQ's...but this mama knew that he (and myself) could only handle a few and went to our friends The Corbetts & The Gustafson's to celebrate!

We swam our tooshies off at both houses...which feels WONDERFUL for me, I can breathe!

At the Corbetts (I forgot to take pictures), Zach had a lot of fun playing with Uncle Tony & TT Kim...he couldn't get enough of being thrown around in the pool and kept asking for more...in fact, I keep forgetting that he has troubles with his pronouns right now...he asks everything in a manner of how I ask him, for instance, if I say, "Did mama scare you?" he will tell me later, "Mama scared you!"...telling me I scared him! So, in the pool, he kept telling us, "Uncle Tony throw you!"...RIGHT! I had to explain he just wants another turn, doesn't really want Tony to throw THIS mama!!! He loves all of the older girls there and they really treat him like a king! Thanks for letting me lounge in the pool and breathe while everyone else took turns playing with Zach!
At the Gustafsons, Uncle Dave ventured to Cathedral City for some fireworks...he got some sparklers and a few noise makers with some pretty colored that just popped around on the ground and blew out some colors! The kids were FASCINATED! Uncle Dave through Zach around the pool and I could tell Zach was missing his Dada, because he jumped out of the pool with Uhhh Day (Uncle Dave) and stared wiping his legs and everything off just like him! He also wanted to go hang out in the house with him until the rest of us ventured back into the house...TT took the kids on a parade around the yard waving their flags and doing little dances...SO cute! Uncle Dave was gym teacher and had them running laps!

Needless to say, mama's idea of bringing shower items & jammies worked out fab...we were in the car by 7:40 and Z was asleep by about 7:41! Happy Fourth family and friends!
