Phnom Penh lacks a lot when it comes to doing stuff with the kids…I mean, it’s not like when I was a kid and I could leave my house at 8 am and come home at 8 pm, dirty, tired and hungry after riding my bike all day, building a fort with my brother or making some mud pies. It’s not like when Zachary was a baby, and I had friends to meet up with at the park with a coffee, or the mall’s play area or the Children’s Museum or the splash zone. I don’t mind sitting at home in the afternoons or splashing around with some water balloons…but sometimes, you just need something to do!!! (we are VERY excited about Kid City coming in a few months!!!)…we love the Sofitel pool (and the fact that they have a trampoline now)…and we’ll take the occasional walk on the water front to check out the birds and grab some DQ…So, here we are finding things to do and enjoying every bit of it!!!

No, our life is not normal…but we love it…we find things to do, we lament there is nothing to do, we get busy, we get tired, we go, we stay…but it’s our life and we love it day to day!
