Oh, Hawaii…you are in my blood…I love your smell, your energy, your noise, your wind, your beaches…everything about you…Which is why it was so fitting that you fell into our trip…it worked out perfectly…for the same price, we were able to get into the world of Aloha and really acclimate ourselves back into the USA…time zone, food, culture, traffic…life! I can’t say enough about our perfect days, the perfect weather, the perfect food, the perfect beaches…well…it was perfect by every measurement and I ain’t exaggerating!
We threw bed times, schedules and rules right out with the tide and just had fun…we beached it EVERY day…walked I don’t know how many times around Diamond Head…hit parks…got a week pass for the zoo (for $35 for all of us…DEAL!!!)…ate DELICOUS food…ice cream for breakfast and just loved everything Hawaii offered to us…we didn’t turn the air conditioning on ONE time…we let the breeze cool us down…we found out we LOVE McDonald’s Large Iced Coffee’s for $2.50…their chocolate dipped cones and especially…their LUGGAGE!!!! (yes…this took about 45 minutes of questioning…sitting and thinking…more questions…until we finally figured out that Zachary wanted when he asked me multiple times for “luggage for dinner”…he wanted a Happy Meal…Bwah ha ha ha ha…I don’t know why this cracks me up so much…but I LOVE this boy!)…it was the PERFECT way to start our trip…we got caught up on sleep (my boys sleeping in until 9 am…what what what???)…got our tan on, ate sand, rode boogie boards, sailed in a boat, danced to live music, watched fire eaters, break-dancers and other strange phenomenon…
I “rocked” a few snazzy one piece suits I found in Australia…in their winter…so they were EXTRA snazzy at 50% off!!! I don’t care what you say…after you’ve had the babies I have…you DO NOT wear a two piece…(although I noticed that most people have not gotten that memo…)
I can’t say enough beautiful things about this beautiful place…so much love started here…it’s in my heart and will always be a part of me…a part of us…
